But like I said....if the clear is etched, he's going to have to get either more aggressive compound or wet sand & a buff.

3M sells another product called finess it....worth a shot as well.
Sorry. I thought that you meant like a very aggressive compound like professionals use along with wet sanding.

Nah, that would be the last possible course of action here....

I would start with Finess it, if that didn't cut it....I'd try the over the counter compound. If that's a flame out...I consult the local body shop or detail guru to get busy with the buffer, sandpaper and aggressive compounds.

PQ, none of this would be happening if you had just bought the damn M6

Or a Super Charger instead of wheels.

The story remains the same. My brother in law turned the compresor on and it was on the fix-a-flat part of the setting. It sprayed all over.

Problem is I couldn't wash it off that night, and now I'm left with this.

maaan when you do stuff, you go all out!

yeah, thats' some nasty stuff. I'm guessing you don't have a dealer/service department that you trust enough to ask how they'd remove it? (not that I'd trust them to actually do it, but there may be some knowledge about working with it)

So why hasn't "he" tried it instead of going out and buying more stuff? I thought I made a believer out of you at Camaro 5 Fest PQ! Start with clay and see what happens. There is no need to buy anything. You have everything you need right there.

I can't believe that "he" waited this long to get that stuff off the car. It's like hard glue. It seals tires!

I would go to a professional, seems like an amateur could make it worse. If its fixable, a professional detailer would know what to do without causing worse damage, I am certain I would not make that any better! Yikes!

I kind of wonder if rubbing alcohol would help.
Another thing I wonder is why didn't the wax on his car help for removal.

Would you suggest he use the spot yellow pad given the fact it is that difficult to remove?

Not at all. The first thing he should try is clay. As for wax protecting the paint from this stuff, it ain't happening. This stuff is used to seal tires. All the wax in America ain't gonna repel this stuff. It's like crazy glue, only thicker.
