Maybe Dubai is the worst place to me... too much traffic.. and very restricted Police..

i love my town .. Police is kinda stupid here HAHAHAH
Thanks for answering the questions! WOW, if you get your car set up to get the most out of that 98 octane, you're going to have alot of fun!!! Once again, thanks and welcome to Camaro5!!!

Welcome, nasser71!

As for the auto vs. manual debate -- tough decision, my friend.

I've followed many Dubai Corvette and exotic car enthusiasts on other forums.

For you, sir - I think the manual would be a good starting point for a first car.

Clutches are cheap. Learning the finer points of launches, power-shifts, and downshifts are "priceless."

I hope you enjoy yourself, stay safe, and learn very much along the way.

Please keep us informed of your experiences!

PS- I think there are still some mostly-deserted roadways in Dubai that can be experienced with little "supervision."

You can find them.

Cheers.

I always ask people that ask about a Manual or Automatic

Do you want to drive your car or ride in your car? Thats the difference really. Both will be an outstanding vehicle.

I love 2005 Caprices! I wish they were sold here :( Can you post any pictures?

Good luck with your choice and post some pics when you get it!

Manual vs. Automatic.

Get whatever's comfortable for you. Immediately tune out people that argue the "real men drive manual" or "sports cars should always be manual" because they're trying to define their masculinity through their cars.

If you are comfortable driving in city traffic with a manual, get the manual. If you're not, get an automatic. It's really that simple. I never had a problem with city traffic with a manual, not even on hills. But I like the simplicity of an auto so that's what I'm getting.

It's whatever you're comfortable with.
