Ok then why do they say you get about 10-15 more horse power with a CAI?

basically it is just a standard safety precaution when working on your car... Personally I don't do it and neither do a lot of other folks here... but in theory it is safer for the electronics if you do... your call..

What do you mean? You just follow the instructions... you disconnect the battery O_o. The battery is located in the trunk, under the carpet mat thingy. Twist open the cylindrical lock and lift up the foam. The battery is under the spare tire, if you dont have a spare, the battery is in line of sight.

Did you also notice the "ticking" sounds right after the install comine from the back side of the engine? Mine isn't doing it anymore. I read somewhere on the threads [I think] that the sensor has to "learn" the new intake?????

It does look nice with the ABM!!!

I just installed my BBK CAI yesterday and noticed the inlet tube resting on the radiator hose too. That would kinda defeat the purpose of the whole thing if the radiator transfers its heat to the tube and then the incoming air. I made a cable that loops around the filter and then mounts to the unused bolt from the original air cleaner to keep it off of the radiator hose.

installed my K&N the other day. Sounds way badass. Also, it seems like i can feel some power gain? but maybe its my mind playing tricks on me. Who knows. Next step for me is bbk catback. then later on prolly long tubes with high flow cats.
