Mod money almost never comes back on resale. I learned that the hard way with my last 4th-gen Camaro. Just put resale out of your mind and focus on the fun...if it still sounds like a good idea, go for it! I can tell you that if my wife gave me the go-ahead, my Maggie would be ordered already...of course, I'd be suspicious that she was abducted by aliens and replaced with an impostor because she'd NEVER give me the go-ahead!

I said this is my dream car and I want it to be like I want it to be....

Now with around $20,000 in upgrades it's about like I want it.....

On the other hand,I did get the okay and after the Maggie is installed it would be one sic ride .I just can't decide. but:(

I definitely feel your pain. Right now I have the money to purchase my wheels, but I have already spent a decent amount of money on the small upgrades I have on the car so far. I do not plan on selling my car, nor am I in a "financially" tough situation. But at the same time, you kind of want to make sure you are making the right buying decision, not based on "impulse". You only live once though, and if you and your wife both have sat down and made sure that there wont be any financial set backs from this purchase, then GO FOR IT!

As long as you won't be in a cash strapped position after the SC... I say slap that bitch on and rock the F out.

You have the green light... hit the gas before it turns yellow.

Ok, just to put my .02 in here. First off, are you in the position that you would have to sell your car soon? Second, do you have everything else planned out, i.e retirement, savings, blah blah blah?
You say if something comes up, are you in a position that something could come up soon?
If you are absolutely sure it is what you want, and you are in a strong financial position, go for it. And hell, although your wife may not care, talk to her about it. Tell her how you feel. Good luck with your decision.
