As bad as it is I'm surprise about the amount of damage to the A4. that hit on the windshield looks like pedestrian to me. Why else would he crash the Maro that hard other than drunk I suppose. Residential neighbourhood, even acting like an idiot he shouldn't have gotten it that far out of control. That sux - even with no-fault I bet his rates will be be affected by the insurance crooks.

On second look it must have been something fairly serious...i.e. pedestrian. The police have the impact points, car path and resting spots all marked on the road.

Actually it's the passenger in the car that got hurted. This happened a around 3AM. he Audi hited the parked Camaro, then went to hit a pick-up truck that went about 25 feet forward and that hited another truck.

Here in Quebec we have No-Fault insurance so our Cam5 body is fully coverd. OUFF.

Alors il n'y a que des victimes. Les flics n'ont pas encore trouvé celui qui était au volant?

A few assumptions:

1) The passenger in Audi wasn't wearing her seatbelt, hence the windshield damage from the inside.

2) The only way to hit a parked car on a straight road on a Saturday night is if you are drunk. This may turn out to be manslaughter if the passenger dies.

Agreed. Something large hit the base of the passenger side windshield and it doesn't look like anything else in the photos could have caused that. You can also see the upper half of a halo from where a small, heavy object hit just left of center. Ouch.

Il était soûl, non? Qu'est-ce qui s'est passé avec la pauvre passagère? Elle est encore vivante?

Didn't you say the Camaro is insured in Ontario though?

I have to agree, 3am points to coming home from club'n and the passenger side windshield damage points to a good smack on the passenger. Really sucks that it's usually someone else that dies other than the intoxicated driver...

See the tire in front of the Audi? She couldn't really run for long with her car crippled and her passenger hurt.

One good car destroyed, and one good life probably ended because someone was to stupid to call a taxi.

Don't make assumptions.

You're probably right about the drunk driver, especially on a beautiful Saturday night.

And it's not manslaughter, in Canada it's called "impaired operation causing death". If that's the case and the guy has no record, he'll do about 1-2 years in jail then get out on probation and have his licence taken away for a few years.
