I just downloaded the app, and after a bit of set up I can see my fuel level, range, tire pressures, and all kinds of cool stuff. And sure enough, right here sitting in my study some 100 yards or so from my car, I was able to trigger the car alarm with my iPhone.

I think the most practical and useful feature for me, living here in nasty hot Texas, is that I can start the vehicle while I am still in my apartment, and then by the time I get to my car it will have warmed the engine and cooled the interior for me. That's pretty handy, because doing it with the key is not possible from this distance unless I hold the key out of the front door.

Also when I go on business trips, if I get paranoid that I forgot to lock the car at the airport, I can send a lock command to the car. Sweet.

According to OnStar Facebook they are working on trying to make something work for the 2010 owners, having had many complaints that it was 2011 only. So hopefully all my fellow Camaro owners will have something soon...
