lol. I never realized the v6 and v8 had different shift patterns.

Yeah - different transmissions. I know that doesn't necessarily mean they'd me different, but it also means they wouldn't necessarily be the same.

The V6 has an Aisin-Warner unit and the V8 has a tremec unit.

Funnily enough, That tremec t-56 was originally designed by Borg-Warner - the same company that Aisin USA partnered with to create the Aisin-Warner unit in the V6. So they're like half-siblings.

My favorite was on my M3...it was on the shift knob..but was lighted at night...very cool.

wow camaro_corvette! I have no idea how i missed that discussion! this whole time i was bummed about reverse being left up and now i am to find out that the SS is actually right up. that's awesome. not a big fan of left up, it just feels strange to me. i dont know why it just does.
