Me, GM uses Mobil One for the first 100,000 miles, then I go to mobil one. Simple.

I use Mobil 1 because its the factory fill, meets all GM specs, and I can always find it under $5/qt. I will continue using it until some PROVES (w/o mentioning Chuck Norris) that something else is significantly better.

I could search and copy and paste some test results... but you would probably still stick with royal purple. or you could go to the forum and learn what makes a good oil a good oil and what you want in an oil, and how there is no answer to the age old question "What is the best oil" because each person wants something different from an oil.

one thing is certain though... royal purple sucks. haha

now will you engine blow up because you are running xxxxxx oil in it? highly unlikely. but you asked.
thank you - i checked out that link and found this:

seems to contraindicate what you posted . also, read the comments posted - rp ftw!!

chuck norris hates you, because you doubt his knowledge. He will now spin your main bearings with his mind.

Joe Gibbs Hot Rod oil is what we use.
Do yourself a favor and read the oil 101 and get educated.

http://www.joegibbsracingoil.com/tra...ter/index.html

Its a good read, even if you use a different brand, good information in there

Okay, I guess Mobil 1 will do the trick. I am having it done at the dealership with the rest of the tune up.

no... if you have an lt1 you just keep it filled up... it leaks out enough that it changes it's own oil.

Was this the German Castrol oil? I do not think so because it only comes in 0w30. My old LS1 loved this brand.

I guess that they do so, to make you feel that your Camaro is still alive and you will appreciate their magical powers in giving a re-birth to your car.

Mobil 1 makes a difference, so why not on every service?
