I don't think of it that way (owning both, being on both forums)...I more think of it as a rivalry...UofM MSU style (UT A&M...guess I live in TX now)...

Jose, I'm up for a challenge anytime, lol

Alot also depends on how wicked you intend to get. If your after 650-700 rwhp. A roots blower will give you lots of trq at low rpm. Edelbrock E-force has a nice kit and I think Mustang is avail. Roush is another option. How far you want to go also depends how deep your pocket is. Good Luck.

See that was very helpful. Thanks, that really gives me some insight into new SC's.

I'd say you'd be better off swapping the motor for an LS9.

Our V8 Forced Induction section has tons of info on all aspects of Superchargers and turbo systems. I learned an awful lot there before I did anything. This is not a cheap upgrade, and, if not done right, you don't get what you want and could blow up something.

We have people who put their own stuff on, as well as people who pay top $$ to have the best do it for them, which is the route I went- I wanted to make 100% sure it was done right. You need to seek out the Ford version of Lingenfelter/ADM, etc. Talk with them even if you don't go with them.

Critical things- how much boost/HP can your stock drivetrain handle? What is the weak link? Fuel system delivery updates need to ensure engine does not starve for fuel at the upper rpm levels. If getting the pro's to do it, forging the internals should be strongly looked at if you can afford it. Axles? Rear end? Driveshaft? Tranny? How will you be driving it?

Most anybody can put on a SC- but how the whole package is done is what counts. Don't ever be scared of all of this- just read, learn, then ask questions- many questions, before moving forward.

See ya at the drag strip.

That's not a bad Idea Snoopy. I think it would be sick too! I'm looking to have around 600 RWHP before the end of September next year.

wow, now we're talking...600 rwhp will require a few things, like tires/suspension to get that power to the ground, probabaly should look into a stronger DS...The trans may need to be stiffened up a bit...Your gonna need at least the GT500 dual fuel pumps, maybe more than that, but no way a KB BAP is gonna put out the glp you'll need...You'll wanna fully forge your internals or you'll blow a rod...Depending on the applications you may need a beefer alt...All that said, you'll need three MAJOR things.

1. A big pocket book.
2. Patience
3. SOMEONE TO TAKE YOUR PICTURE ON YOUR FIRST DRIVE...THE GRIN WILL BE MOST MEMORABLE...

A forum buddy is running a dual-charged (super & turbo) 07 to about 650rwhp, so it's dooable.

oh, and ravensjeff, this is totally rediculus ...I'd love to see/hear/ride that!
