Looks like your drive shaft is rubbing against your headers. How much clearance is under there?

I know why gm went to this design, but I am not fond of it. Nor do I like the truck driveshafts in these things.

This is the exact reason we are working on doing a rear driveshaft loop for the Camaros.

Now that is a good idea!
I get at least one call a week from guys that have either broken or bent those bolts. I even get calls from the middle east on this.

Thanks
Chris

Aren't these bolts one-time use only like many others on the car? I doubt the dealer orders new bolts when touched for any type of maintenance. Is it deminishing returns for a 3rd party to provide multiple removal HD bolts with the OE rubber isolator design?

At least vendors are providing upgrades using interoperable standards to address items like HD shaft, axle, and center section.

I like the rear loop bracket idea, too.

Yes, they are one time use only bolts. I feel you are correct about some dealers not using new bolts. Mainly because some people don't realize that bolts like these are to be replaced, or they don't follow the service manual.

I went to a Ford dealer to get a replacement bolt for a steering wheel on an F150 (they didn't have it because there was no demand for them) and I was asked why I was replacing it. I told the guy the service manual states it's a one time use only bolt and his reply was... Oh, really!? I realize the parts guy might not know about things like this but I think there are some techs that don't too.

I'm glad you got your car back. I see rhat your car is pretty modded. I'm suprised your dealership didn't claim the extra HP was the reason you're breaking the parts.

I'm really suprised that your warranty is covering it. I thought if something like that happened to my car I'd have to pay for it (and I only have intake, exhaust, and tune).
