Ive used a rear facing Evenflow for 7 months and it wasnt too bad. My daugter grew out of it and we're now using a graco quattro and its a B$&&@ to get in and out. I dont get why the seat backs dont move farther forward. With the seat all the way forward (track&seat back) there is still 8" between the dash and headrest. I have to tilt the carseat on her back like to get it between the seat back and door post. I then have to rotate the seat 90 deg with her still on her back in the seat and then once u clear the lip of the base i can rotate her down and in. We are about to go to a Biger seat due to her length.. Sunshine kids radian xs or something.. If its as big of difference bt this one as it was bt the first two im going to have to either modify the seat tracks or buy aftermarket seats that fold forward more. Any tips would be appreciated.

I have a trick w/ the rear facing...make sure you fold the handle of the car seat all the way back, and then you can just 'slide' the car seat on to the base. The front seat will need to be pretty far forward, and will be a bit uncomfortable for the passenger. We're now transitioning to the front facing that will stay in the car, and I think it's going to be a bit more difficult to get him in and out now.

Ill have to try that. I was contemplating trying hhr seats til shes older bc they fold down flat forward. Would also be more useful when hauling 8ft long things through the pass thru.

Mark it ZERO!

Yup, rear facing, NO WAY. Front facing no problem. But if your wife doesn't mind, go for it. Find a safe, small rear facing seat and go for it.

Yeah, rear facing 1x a week is enough for me in stock form.
They need to invent a baby hans device so we can just do front facing. Tethers on stocking hats???

I have a 1SS with twin almost 7yr olds. I am 6ft tall. My kids Britax 5pt harness seats fit just fine in the car and they both had enough leg room. A good growth spirt and those child seats will have to go. I'm 6ft tall and had the room to put my seat back reclined as much as i needed to be comfortable. The Britax seats are pretty large seats. I can't speak for rear facing seats but if my 7yr olds can fit with large car seats then most people with have zero issues. Hope this helps some.

Rear facing hits the headrest. You have to sit upright with knees at the dash but at least its doable. I saw a mustang at the car show and their back seats looked even worse!
