No, The Gauge Cluster is a Plug-N-Play Thing. Simple Install.

That is a lot of blue. Looks great, though - I've been thinking of doing the door inserts myself, could you elaborate a bit on tools, time, cost and procedure for that, by PM maybe so I don't hijack your thread?
Good point there. Having never done much with cars before I was pretty intimidated myself, but once you do it, it is remarkably easy - aside from semi-breaking the cover on the console power outlet trying to muscle it out by hand (hint learned the hard way for first-timers: turn it upside down, brace it above the floor front & back, then put a screwdriver through the socket and push down. Easy), the hardest part was finding somewhere to shove all the wiring to when replacing the console. Even the included zip-ties work very well at holding the cluster in place, mine is rock-solid 7 months after the install. |

Looks pretty good!! I have to admit...those seat covers look really good!! Most of the time when you see those they dont fit right.
Keep an eye out in the GA sub-forum in the Atlanta Club thread we are going to try and get some things going for next year. A few of us are planning on going to the Detail Clinic that Junkman/Adams Polishes are hosting on Jan 8th if you can make it out |

Great post! I wanna hydro dip my silver pieces on the inside but whats stopping me is taking off the door panels....that just looks like a pain in the ass. I may just keep everything silver. I would love to do a hydro carbon though. But once agin, the door panels.

As for the door inserts-dash trim just get a BIG can of touch-up paint, adhesion promoter and clear coat. Here's where I got mine: http://www.automotivetouchup.com/spray_paint.asp Follow the instructions here http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...+panel+removal to the letter. You'll need to run by Home Depot and get some screws to reattach the door panels. Thee plastic fasteners need to be grinded down but not TOO deep just enough to release the insert from the door. You'll want to lightly sand the inserts with about a 2000 grit sandpapaper I put 1 coat of adhesion promoter, let that dry ( about 5 minutes) then 3 light coats of body color on each panel, 5-10 minutes between each coat, then 2 coats of clear coat. let all that dry about 20 minutes then reverse the steps you did to take the panel off using the screws to resecure the panels to the door. Be CAREFUL with the trunk release switch There's a small rubber insert with metal contacts that activate the trunk. I lost mine but found it after I got everything back together (of course) and had to take it all apart again.. The entire project took about 4 hours tops. Just don't fORCE the clips, etc loose, they break pretty easy, There are usually tiny clips that have to be released on the connectors before you pull them loose...Tale your time and have FUN with it! |

I know, I wasa scared to death, just KNOWING I'd screw something up but it's REALLY easy!! just take your time (and keep the screws/fasteners in a cup or jar or something so you don't have to SEARCH FOR MISSING PARTS!!! |

Nice mods so far. I think I would have smoothed down the door & dash trim panels for painting though.
