My mom was set on a CTS as her next car. When I decided to get the Camaro I showed her some pictures, and now she's fairly certain she's getting a V6 in the next year or so. She saw it at NAIAS and couldn't stop talking about it. It will be nice to have 2 5th gens in the family

I think it is the fact that everybody has all ready talked about everything they can about the car. Now we are all just so pumped up about it and anxious that we are spinning our wheels just coming up with anything to say. Oh and on topic I hope women like it other wise I shall be very sad

Thats because it is a girls car. Even the V8 has no HP LOL

I think this car will be a big hit with women. My wife wants one more than I do.

Good question. Originally, the Mustang seemed like it was sort of marketed for women as seen here:

I'm not sure the Camaro has had the same focus. In the print ads I've seen from '67 through '72, Chevy marketed the car much more toward men and emphasized the car's power and quality. Plus, there's that whole Camaro-mullet-redneck stereotype.

Hell yeah women will want this car. Someone mentiond memory lane. Well women have fond memories of camaros also. I work with mostly women and have herd many of them talking about the new camaro. Also I have the pic of the new camaro with the "69" posted on here as my desktop and home and work. When the women see it they all ask wow look at that or I want one.

I am a girl and here is what I think!

#1 IMHO, the Camaro (setting some generations aside) is the best looking muscle/sports (whichever you prefer) car out there.
#2 Mustangs have NEVER appealed to me, but I do see a lot of chicks driving them...must be cause they don't know any better!
#3 Most women don't care about HP/Torque etc and those are the ones who buy based on looks alone, and/or the opinions of the men in their lives. These women will by the V6.

I have a 68' 327 Coupe I have owned for 18 years, restored with my Dad and now re-restoring with my husband. I have also owned a 76', and a 94' 6 cyl (neither of the last two were worth keeping due to engine size/performance)

I have been lusting over the 5th Gen since 2006 when I first spotted and thought I might pee myself!

I pre-ordered on October 21st, it would have been on the 13th but it took a while to find a good dealer! On order currently is:

2SS/RS Manual, IOM, Hurst Short Throw, Black metallic stripes to be painted on afterwards (no stickers!)

So, while female enthusiasts are few and far between, those of us that know cars will probably go for the V8. But, it is also extremely appealing visually and that should up the V6 purchases by women. Either way, it is a win/win for the Camaro. All the women I know lust after my 2010 Camaro desktop background at work!

I ordered one.

and yes i ordered a v6.

Here are my reasons:
Im not a racer, im not gonna take it to a track, or race on the street and risk killing myself or someone else.

It was a lot more affordable for me.

It will be a daily driver, and the better the gas milage, the more dollars in my pocket.

I like the front bumper better.

I really don't care about bragging rights, because i own an SS. It doesnt make me a better person because i own one, and just because i dont own one, doesnt mean im some stupid girl that doesnt know anything about cars.

Besides, its a pretty badass V6.

Now everyone of you that bought a V8, thats awesome i respect the V8 as a muscle car, but by no means does that give you the right to talk down on someone who bought a V6, we all have our reasons, and they are all camaros after all.

Oh and it doesnt make me any less of an enthusiast because i own a V6. I've waited for this car as long as everyone else.

I agree, it's a bad ass V-6. More HP than the base V-8 Mustang
