Thank you for this tutorial. Installed mine today and it was a breeze. BUT 2 people is advised, unless you have three hands and long arms.

My MPD1 spoiler is currently at the body shop getting painted. Can't wait to get it put on. Has anyone tried to duplicate the factory stripes on their new MPD1 spoiler? I would like to match the factory stripes (black) on the new spoiler, keeping them about 1/4" from the top of the new spoiler just like the stock spoiler looks.

Thanks for taking the time to document this procedure. I received my MPD spoiler this afternoon and followed your procedure to install it. Pretty simple, took less than an hour. I first used the included spacers but didn't like the light showing through the gap. So I removed it and applied a small bead of clear silicon caulk around each hole. I also use some blue loctite on the screws to keep them tight. No problems with hole alignment, but it took a few minutes to get one of the screws started in straight.
The spoiler arrived in great shape. I wiped it down and examined it carefully, and was not able to find a single imperfection in the paint. The fit was perfect as well.

Is there supposed to be a plastic clip with the mpd1 spoiler? Installing mine this weekend and just got all the nuts off my stock spoiler and plan to use that hardware for the mpd1 since I bought it used and didn't get the extra set of harware

Great write up. My camaro didn't come with a spoiler so I need to drill some holes. Anyone doing this willing to make a template of where the stock holes are so I can install the stock spoiler I have had for months???
