you should call whatever company/town does the plowing in your area and tell them, maybe they will pay for it or something. good luck though, really sorry to see/hear that.

Wow that sucks...........sorry to heat that.......hopefully you can get that fixed quickly.

Snow plow drivers don't care........they have one job to do plow snow......if they hit a car, mailbox, or tear up the lawn.

Who are you going to sue if you don't know who did it?
Even if he thinks it was a city/town plow, they can figure who the driver was on that route, but he's just going to deny it.........................

It should be a felony, though, to even scratch an ABM car! :(

There could be some ABM paint on a plow as evidence, but even so, that could be difficult/nearly impossible to use as legal proof.

That was the same storm that caused the damage to the OP's car, just in a different region. Fortunately, that Explorer was a city vehicle. The OP's car, of course, is not. Lack of care for accountability must be rampant there. I couldn't imagine that a city driver around here would NOT leave information to be accountable/provide insurance info. I'd be P.O.'d.

Not true. There is a good chance, IF it was a city plow with a large truck, they didnt even notice. Happens all the time. I drive a large plow truck and sometimes you hit stuff, its not that they DONT CARE, they just dont know. As far as mailboxes and yards, whateverm that can be fixed easily and if you make a claim, the municipality WILL PAY for repairs if it was caused by a plow. they arent going to just deny it.

If it was a small pick up and they hit it and ran... good luck but there should still be some record of who plows the road. Not likely you will need to sue them. I agree, if its private plow, they will say they dont remember hitting it but you could check for damage on the plow if its a small pick up mounted plow. A municipalty (large) plow wouldnt even get a scratch from openning a car up like a tin can.

Best advise to ANYONE... if its snowing, DONT PARK IN THE STREET

EDIT... from further investigation of the photo, appears ot be in a parking lot so that rules out large trucks, plus the OP mentions "condo". I am guessing it was a pick up mounted plow OR someone slid into it and they bolted. Good luck, sorry it happened.

Funny, but I hate how people get all pissed off and start yelling at people (ex. the crazy Police Report lady), yea these guys were being idiots, but the whole "Get a lawyer" give me a break. the Sup will show up talk to the owner and the company will pay for the repairs. OP, sorry about the damage, its gonna be a tough sell to get the plow company to pay.. Get tire tracks and hopefully there's paint from the plow on ur car somewhere for some sort of evidence. Also check the time frame when the plows were in the area and see if it matches the time of when the damage occurred. dont tell them why ur asking obviously. Good Luck.
