Is it too late to order a V6 Camaro

Those first cars WILL be for sale cars whether they are demos or not. The last IDL made clear that the dealers will be able to sell those cars. So you might be in luck if a dealer wants to let one go...

I ordered a V6, Oct 23rd. With Production starting on March 16th, no way I'm expecting it in April. I'm being realistic, everyone at work keeps asking me when I'll have it. I simply state, start of Summer (June 1st in my book), that way they can leave me alone and I keep putting money away.

We (Chevy Dealers) have no control on these V6 cars options or colors. Within 6 months Chevy dealers will receive car #2 regardless of allocation. There will be available color and option packages on this #2 V6 Camaro.

GM is PUSHING the V6 - you shouldn't have an issue finding the V6 Camaro you want.

Very interesting. I just called and sw my dealer on Saturday and he told me he wouldn't be able to tell for sure until early March. If I get mine b4 May I will be a very happy customer. That is one reason I went with a fully loaded V6 because I could get it sooner. It will also be cheaper on gas as I'm not racing anyone to work (I only will drive about 22 miles per day) except on weekends. I like the fact that even though it is only a V6 it will have plenty of power and the last time I checked the speed limit around me was no higher than 55 so burning rubber will only cost more for gas and tires and I have matured a little past that stage in my life. I just want something that will look good and be fun to drive and this is the fits me in SO many ways.

Edit: My daughter is having a baby around April 7th so maybe I will have two things to celebrate in APRIL of 2009. Looks like this may be the best year of my life and I'm 52 so I have had my share of bad year. LOL

Yeah. I was the first to order at my dealership and I ordered a V6. Potentially, I should be the first person at the dealership to get a car but I will still be surprised if I got my car in April.

I don't know, just trying to figure it out and see if it is worth it. Plus I am a big guy (tall 6'6" and a bit wide) and a bit concerned about ordering a coupe, that may be small.

Don't believe anything you read unless it's from GM or Fbodfather. They will adjust the flex line in Oshawa to produce what they need to fill orders ( assuming component part availability ). It will not be a 50/50 split after the first V6 round to each dealer is complete.

Like others have said, its not too late. I just placed my order tonight for a 2LT V6 and I am priority #1
They have a total allocation of 7 with 4, 2SS orders in house and my 2LT.

We'll let ONE go, when another comes in....(the extra's we get). Still trying to find out how we're just going to do this...Yes, it will be sat in, and yes, it will be driven supervised by an employee.

It's unlikely that I'll be able to buy one, but I really want to test-drive a V6 manual transmission Camaro... I'd just feel bad taking a test drive under false pretenses for a car I have no ability to buy.

if you get excited (or bored) enough, you'll do it. once you do, it gets easier. keep in mind, the only new car i've test driven was an 08 mustang gt that ford payed me to drive & i would've driven a new dodge truck for the same reasons, but they're paying me just for coming out to look!

if you go to some used lots & find something you like, it helps give you a broader perspective on what you do & don't like about the way different cars handle & drive. that helps you make a more informed decision when you're in a position to actually get something. plus, it's a lot of fun!!
