the magnachargers of course make more power down low, and there are spots where the procharger makes more up top.

I don't think you can go wrong with either, and both are better at certain things. I think the maggie is a cleaner install, and a more finished look. the maggie is more fun to drive, but harder to plant the power, where the procharger is easier to get to hook up.

I will see if I can post an overlay of the power numbers tomorrow so you can see cars with identical cams, and boost level with the two different blowers.
OMG; That would be amazing. I've read alot about roots vs centri, but I see so many different numbers on the web it's really tough to decide. I've personally seen both setups on different SS's and the numbers for those cars too, but they're always different.

It would be great to see same car, same mods, different SC's and dyno results. That would be amazing, and thanks in advance for sharing.

Oh gotcha. We made 625 rwhp on the stock block, with a cam and a bap. 3.2 pulley and 12 psi.

well they are different cars, but they were identical builds in terms of exhaust, header, heads, cam, etc. of course they were both on our dyno as well, and both in similar weather (done within a week of each other in early spring I believe).

the difference is great enough that even the variables of different cars would not effect the power differences you will see on the graphs.

Makes sense. I know each vehicle will be slightly different, but if the builds are the same they won't be off by that much. Can't wait to see the diff.

Wow. You got some really good numbers. Your tuner was really good. Don't see these numbers in this range with a Maggie. What type of CAM did you go with. Is it large or a mid-size booster CAM. Mine is referenced as a Stage II blower CAM.

Boost A Pump. It's a device used to regulate electircal current to the fuel pump to ensure the fuel pump keeps an even regulated flow of fuel to the engine so it doesn't run lean and / or detonate. Detonation is bad for the engine.

Those are good numbers too. Not bad at all. I think the CAM will put folks into the high 500 or lower 600 ranges with a Maggie, and upgraded internals allow for higher boost so HP / TQ is in the high 600 - 700 range. Cool. Wish I had a few extra $ to do the internals at the same time. Probably wouldn't care much at that point roots vs centri.

That's what I'm talking about, woo-hoo.
Is that all stock internals (no stroking)? What are your CAM specs?
I'm not sure about mine (forgot to get the label) but it's a blower cam not huge but has good throaty lope and .114 LSA. They call it a Stage II.
I'm thinking same D-1SC Stage II vs TVS2300.

Boost a Pump. Increases voltage to the OEM fuel pump to drive more fuel from the pump. They are not a replacement for twin or triple pumps but will get you that little extra you need in borderline fuel situations.

I'm thinking same D-1SC Stage II vs TVS2300.
I'm gonna guess and say that power number is at around 12-14 psi though...

we did one, 12 psi, with methanol, that made about 670, but he is aware its unknown how long it will live... we set the tune up as safe as we could.

I didn't have enough money for a cam and the supercharger. SO far my car made 533hp and 500 trq on stock 3.8 pulley with a cai and high flow cats. So dependent upon whats in the car depends upon the power gain. Oh and the manual has diff power levels than an auto. So as you can see thats why there so many diff numbers out of all the cars.

That' just plain scary. I want to stay in the 6-7psi. range.

Is your's an A6 or M6? Definately makes a different, and noticing the CAM makes huge differences too.

I am running roughly your setup with the addition of CNC ported heads and we ported the lower intake on the TVS2300. Mine dyno'd 590 RWHP at 7 lbs. boost with stock bottom end. The Magnusson supplied injectors were running at 95% duty cycle as well.

I can't speak for the Procharger but I'm having trouble imagining getting 660 hp to the wheels on a TVS2300 with low boost (6-7lbs) and a mild cam. Methanol would get maybe another 30-40 hp. Certainly you would have to address new injectors and either a BAP or twin pumps.

For what its worth, my cam is 215/247 .629/.656 121CL

I hope you can prove me wrong...
