if you want to get specific most laws i've read list it as white or 'amber'.

but yes, red lights on the front or sides = illegal, as well as any blue light emiiting from the car.

several of the states you can have any other light showing as long as the bulb isn't visible (such as ground effects lights)

and some extend that so that they are allowed as long as the light is steady and not flashing/strobing

I can't really remember Texas laws but if remember right the red lights are still illegal. Red and blue underglow are legal as long as they aren't strobe.

No, but down in SEC country they will drag you out of the car, beat you and then have you fill out the ticket

If you're gonna get red halos, might as well go for the KITT red grille lights too.

Coming from a police officer in Texas, the red on the front is illegal.

You can put them on if you want, but you can only turn them on while the vehicle is "off road"....in private parking lots.

I wonder if you can get one of the leds that change colours, or just modify it to have one white and red led, and then change with a switch. I know thats what theyre doing hear with the underchasis lights, the leds change in any colour, but as soon as a police officer is near, or just on the road, they set it to white. Im sure someone will be able to do this for me so im excited. I have planned to have red halos for the longest time.

I wanted to do that for the interior lighting, but since i ordered IOM, all my lighting will be in red, so i suggested it for my brothers Mustang. I wouldnt do black light for the Halos, but you could just get purple leds.
Black light inside would make everything white glow, including the stitching!

I've been thinking about a homemade ambient lighting job for my 1SS/RS. I'm wondering about getting / making glow in the dark dash and door panels, (exactly what color, I don't know yet) and playing with an LED black light(s) system to illuminate 'em. The instant a black light hits anything Glow In The Dark, it lights up light you can't believe!!!

Ive seen them do this on a stang, they put black lights where the reading lights are, and just set the roller all the way up to turn it on and off, and it would look nice, definitly unique. I wonder if you could get the cloth trim to glow blue, or red!!! sounds very possible to me
