Tell him you are a cash buyer. You can always really do the financing elsewhere...Not sure what the rush is to get you into THEIR finance dept...

And then say place the order or I will be ordering out of state with a dealer that WILL enter the order!

I just got back from my dealer and it didn't go well. I ordered 12/26 and they never put the order in.

I refused to fill out the credit application. Instead, I printed out a copy of my credit report for them to review, but it wasn't enough for them. So I cancelled my order and they refunded my deposit. Now, I'm back to where I started. Time to start calling dealers again. Thanks for all your replies.

He had NO PROBLEM giving me my new order number. I just had to wait from Saturday when I was there until Monday when his inventory manager was in.

He got back to me and said $500 over invoice and I can order over the phone. I will be calling him tomorrow to order. I would do it today, but I've had enough with dealerships for one day.

this brings up some thoughts, is there a diff between an order and a sold order. I have a number but is there any way to check and make sure my order was sent in where it needs to go? I have a copy of the paper with the price and order number but i cant tell if my order was sent in.

If you have a 6-digit alpha-numeric confirmation number, you're good to go.

i order about two weeks ago and all they game me was a reciept and a yellow sheet. i didnt get an order number either but he say it will be a couple of weeks so im thinking should i call tomorrow and see whats up with my order number or wait another week or two?? he said he put it in when i talked to him last week but im the type of person where i need more information then just the two sheets of paper and a congrats handshake. what should i do people????

IF he put your order "in" he got a confirmation number from WORKBENCH automatically. One way or another he is a liar. Take it from there.

You got your confirmation code (obviously) or you wouldn't have gotten the Camaro mailings. IMO, you're fine. At least, for sure, your order is entered. As far as them messing, or not, with your spot in line or something, that's between you and them.

You are not ok. Your allocation has been given to a customer who slipped the salesman a C-note when his order was submitted. HaHaHaHa!!

Seriously, you should have gotten a copy of the order Workbench printout with the 6-digit alpha-numeric order number on it when you submitted the order. You may still want to ask for a copy. But hey, it you got the letter, you must be in the system and have an order number assigned. I think, and I never thought I'd say this, you are ok.

EDIT: Hey, trm0002, now that's in good taste, and I've heard, not easy to do either! HaHa
