Perhaps... I got the car in the summer of 2009, when the rates were not exactly low. I believe it was at 6.5%....

Hopefully when I get my SS, I'll be able to get a better deal worked out (even though I'll be loosing money on the trade-in)

18000 loan at 6.5% over 5 years is still only 375ish per month. It doesn't make sense that you're paying so much.

Id sell your car now then because it looks like you are losing a lot on interest. Buy something cheap and wait until you can get a used SS for close to what you get from selling your LT privately. Otherwise you will owe a lot on your LT because of the high interest you are paying and youll get screwed on your trade in.

Lol..... I did my loan through GMAC, now Ally. It will all depend on your credit score, final sale price, and how much money you have to put down.

Go into your local dealer, price it out, and talk numbers. Otherwise... you'll just be guessing.
