Yeah theres some things i don't care for about it but we've taken it on a few trips and its been great for that, allot of room.
I actually don't see a lot on the roads here in vegas.

Just not my cup of tea. About as ugly as the PT Cruiser

At least you got a Chevrolet.

Last time I rented a car I reserved a compact car just to get around in. They wrote up the agreement and the car was a Kia something or other.

I looked the agent squarely in the eyes and said "I'm sorry, but I refuse to drive that. Do you have anything else?"

You would think that you would give a loaner that someone may actually come back and consider to buy......

What survey or marketing team actually thought there would be a market for that car ?

I would suspect there are more HHRs sold than Camaros...I bet more PT cruisers on the roads as well.

Not everyone buys a car based on racy-looks or performance; I'm also willing to bet there are more people out there who feel a mediocre mpg 2 door with lousy trunk space is a bad investment - just not this guy (me)

POS??? I looove those cars.

I owned a Jeep Compass and a Jeep Patriot (yeah I buy a new car like 1-2 times a year) and LOVED them... I really regret selling the patriot!

(all three are the same platform)

I also swapped the body for a C2 Z28. (In short I traded it for three cars, a Corvette Z06r, a C2 Camaro Z28, and a Cadillac CTS Summer Performance package 3.6L DI with Aisin 6spd.)

mmmmmmmmm.....I don't agree and evidently several hundred thousand don't either.

Take a look at the sales numbers.......

I know of three people on their second one - and one on her third one. (one met an unfortunate end when it was in a multi-vehicle collision....)

It is not everyones' cup of tea - but for the price and what you get - coupled with the fact that you can fold the front passenger seat flat and put something 8 feet long inside -and still close the tailgate - and you see that it has great utility and it's a great value!

and the PT Cruiser was one of the most successful car launches of all time...

We used the PT Cruiser as an example of perfect new product development when I presented on marketing to the Detroit Auto show in '09. The presentation was based on the idea that the cars people buy today are based on the cars they WANTED when they were little. the PT Cruiser resembles the buyers WANTED when they were around 16/18.

referring to the baby-boomer generation and maybe one after, right?

I cant say I wanted a PT 7 years ago But I def hear what you're getting at. Hence why so many of the 40+ crowd is driving Camaro's, Mustangs, Challeneger...hell , take it a step further and you can see why US auto manufacturers are BRINGING back those cars -

They see it as a place to make some money - I love the idea.

It also makes me laugh ( I hate using the word 'laugh' in any reply btw bc ppl think thats all I do based on my stupid avatar - I digress) because Euro and Japanese dont have the same ability as US makers because nearly all of their cars sucked when that 'target market' was 16/18

Bring back the 1970's civic! haha

I don't know about you guys, but the SS version was hoot to drive. A real sleeper. Too bad the HHR wasn't a bit wider. My shoulders didn't fit.
