I've often thought about it but after hearing the stories from everyone I've ever met that has had the experience.... I don't know why anyone would do it.
Good luck!!

I'm a property manager - I'm lucky to have good tenants. The owners of the property are great to work with. Biggest trouble is frozen pipes in winter because owners don't want to spend money for better insulation and tenants cannot seem to grasp that yes, every winter it's going to get cold, and you need to leave water dribbling when it does.
Hope you win! |

My ex employer tried to sue me for opening my own business..........you can't prove solicitation when it didn't happen...........it was just a scare tactic........it was fine though, because with half his clients coming to me I could afford to get sued!
(this guy was your unnapreciative classic jerk for a boss)but most people who are sue happy are just A-holes anyway!

never been sued, but been close to people who have... its not always about being legally right or wrong, its who's got the biggest pockets to afford the best attorney...

OP: I am a landlord's money collector and so far so good. My dad owns 2 rental houses next to our barn (where my Camaro is being stored for the winter) and we only rent them out to well known good hard working folks. We have them sign an agreement (such as no letting others move in without discussing it with me first) and since 1991, which is when we began to rent out the houses we only had trouble with one tenant who defaulted on paying the rent and ended up evicted with the help of the police. Anyway, good luck with your matters.

Its amazing what cease and desist letters can do! =)
Not totally over, but the threats have stopped. When dealing with people in a VERY small town (less than 200, only 50 in the winter), It behooves you to know your neighbors... neighbor to the left is the sheriff, neighbor up the hill, His Honor, County Judge. Fancy pants out-of-state people trying to bully a local? Really? I have faith in the locals to take care of this quickly, and fairly. But also, in an old gold mining town, where cell phones dont work, and they used to hang people regularly... I dunno, anything can happen! =) Now, on to the next potential tenant...
