You have to remember, STD inflates numbers ~2.5% vs. using SAE corrected numbers. SAE is the common standard used.

So:

CAR 1: 374 rwhp STD = 364 rwhp SAE
CAR 2: 372 rwhp STD = 363 rwhp SAE
CAR 3: 363 rwhp STD = 354 rwhp SAE

not bad numbers either way.

Looking at the graphs, It really looks like your mom's car is pulling timing. The usual tell-tale sign is the sudden dips on the runs at 70, 80, and 110 mph. I'm thinking low octane.

Whats up with the dyno operator printing at all these different scales?? Is the dyno operator new to this? It would be much easier to look at and verify if they were done in the same scales. I bet, before timing is pulled, that she was making the same amount of TQ as the others.

You and her need to switch cars for a week and redyno.......

It could be a myriad of factors seriously though. Gas history, Miles on each car, Clutch Slipping, car not ratcheted down right, etc...

I'd take all those baselines as just that....baselines. We did all sorts of "baseline" dynos AFTER wed taken parts off to re--establish true gains of certain parts we were offerring and I've honestly seen the same car with a 16 rwhp swing. No explaination other than the car being the car.

Factory retard and knock and how the car acts on a dyno with and without heat is one thing that I'll leave to the tuners to delve further into. I can just tell ya what I've seen and experienced.

Hey, btw, keep us posted as I'm sure EVERYBODY would love to see another B & A with the DT LT's you are about to install on ALL 3 CARS!!!

Best of luck and we'll be watchin out for ya!

With my DT headers I dyno'd on one at 411, was a dynopak , temp was about 80 degrees, the other was a dynojet that one was 398 the temp then in the shop was around 104!ni am getting a cam installed week after this one, will get them hopefully to do a baseline before the install and one afterwards! Let's see what the difference is!!!!

It would still be a good idea to do the fuse pull. She may be getting premium gas regularly, but it only takes 1 bad tank for the knock sensors to dectect knock. From what I was reading on the fuse pull thread, it doesn't adjust to higher octane gas... it just stays in low octane mode until the fuses are pulled or the car is tuned.

Also, maybe the dealer put regular gas in the car before she picked it up.

I did the fuse pull on her car a year ago when I did mine, we told our dealer to leave the tanks empty cause we would put premium in them lol
