If my dealer doesn't get my car in for that long then they may not be getting the sale. Ramp it up GM.

It seems that most people here are confusing the "Estimated Production Number", consensus and allocation. If a dealer had an EPN of 9, that is the estimate only from the start. No guarantee. The allocation is what the dealer will receive and the consensus is what the dealer asks for. Most dealers will receive an allocation of 1 for the first build and it will most likely be a V6. The dealer can consense for 500 Camaros. They're only going to get so many unless no other dealer wants them (yeah, right!).

The OP says he's number 8. It doesn't matter whether he is 8 of 8 or 8 of 20. He is still number 8. Unfortunately, if all of the orders before him ar 2SS's, he'll be waiting plenty long but not as long as number 20.

If mine is not here by August I'll probably cancel and buy later with HUD, supplier discount etc. It seems nuts to buy a new hot rod in September and put it into storage a month later for the winter when you can get it cheaper 6 months later anyhow. The Challenger is a great example of that scenario. Some guys sure took it in the keester on that car!

We could have told you there was no way your dealer was going to get 8 the 1st month. They are only building 40 cars a day instead of the 400 or so that they can build at full speed. That's 1,200 cars to spread around to over 6,000 dealers.

Look at the bright side though, since your 8 out of 20, you'll have your car before Sept. Most likely June.
