Fbodfather,

You do a heck of a job from what I have seen over the past couple of years. I decided to join and start sharing on her back in Oct and there is SO much information about this car out there that Camaro people need to realize what an awesome car this is going to be and what an awesome site this is to find out about the car. Sure there has been leaked info that should never have gotten out but I just wanted to let you know HOW MUCH YOU ARE APPRECIATED on this post.

I think when I put my money down I knew it may be a while before I get my car. No big deal to me because hopefully it will turn back time for some of us older guys that used to or still drive the 1st gen cars.

I personally want to thank you for bringing back this body style because out of all of them this is what makes my heart fill younger. Keep up the good work and I hope to meet/see you in Dallas if you happen to be in town.

Thanks again,

Tim

My hat is off to you Scott!

I for one am greatful for all the info you have provided and all the insight you have shared with us. You have gone above and beyond the call of duty as shown by the fact that not only are answering our questions while you're running around the country handling the chaos of the show circuit, but now you are on the board at 1:00am handling yet another issue (and rather well I might ad). One question ... Do you ever get to sleep? LOL.

Thank you!

David

If you want to know your status, YOUR dealer can provide that to you.
No hard feelings Scott. I completely undestand. But, getting that info from our dealers( not all dealers) can sometimes be difficult and frustrating. Most of them don't even know how to access it.

I hope that once production begins, there's an automated telephone system or website in place where we can get the status of our vehicles. I really don't want to call my dealer every week.

The problem is I e-mailed my dealer and asked, and I also went down to the dealership and asked, I never got a reply to my E-mail, and when I asked in person All I got was don't worry your order is in the syustem....

I have e-mailed him again, and I am waiting on a response.

It just seems like most dealers are so uninformed about what is going on, and they should be the ones giving us the information and us not having to begging on the internet for little tidbits to keep us happy.

You do a great job keeping us informed of things, and we really do appreciate it, we also know you cannot be here all the time or are able to answer every little question.
Keep up the good work .

Fbod,

Thanks for the info. I can not imagine it is easy coming on here and asking the mods to take things down. Knowing that people are going to whine and cry.

I just want to thank you for keeping us so informed over the past few years about the cars we all are looking so forward to getting our hands on.

One thing I've learned about while being so involved with everyone on this site is how STUPID and IDIOTIC many dealerships are. How they are making money or selling cars is beyond me. It's been a real eye opener and you guys (GM) had better whip the dealership network back into shape.

On challengertalk.com they have a daily update of "movements" (don't know where they get the info from tho), maybe we could include something like that as well?

Adding on Scott's post, NO, I wasn't the one posting the info under another ID...Just clarifying that since someone mentioned it in a closed thread.

I have a fairly good understanding of what information I can provide - and if I'm not sure, I know who to ask.

there are GM eyes on this board, and rightly so.

We've seen what information overload does - it creates unneeded panic. And I think the MODS, Scott and myself all know how difficult fire control is!

It was a nice jesture on the part of that thread's originator - trying to help people out, but I think a lot of us immediately questioned if it was going too far.
I don't feel a explanation was even necessary, but thank you, Scott, for your frankness and openness.
