Just ordered the axle back myself for an L99 Convert. How would you say the volume compares to other axle backs (or cat back) on any other L99's? Just curious ahead of putting it on myself.

It has a nice sound at start up and take off through the gears, nice and quiet at cruise. Just what I wanted.

Thanks for the words of encouragement Exactly what I'm looking for as well, especially with an open top!

UPS delivered today. Really frustrated though because an unexpected medical procedure has me limited to lifting no more than 10 lbs. That's just not gonna work. So, rather than wait a couple of weeks, I'm going to check a few places for labor to install this system.

I think I could easilty do it in 1 1/2 hours on the ramps and jack stands, and I'd expect most shops to be able to install in 1 hr on a lift. What kind of labor cost am I likely to see with this?

I would say one hour labor at most...it's a straight forward install.

My local muffler shop put my J-Pipe axle backs on in less than one hour. Two simple cuts and it almost fell into place.
Ask your shop before hand what their labor rate is- Around here up to $100.00 an hour.

Got my Mach XL Jpipe catback installed today!

It took 40 minutes from the time of driving it onto the lift until completion. It is a very simple install and fits so well. I noticed that there was way more clearance between the pipes and the OEM tunnel brace than I expected. This design really tucks the exhaust up nicely. The only thing we did extra was cut the bolt ends off of the passenger side J-pipe cap. That allows the J-pipe to rotate up under the valance another 3/4 inch or so so that it was more even with the left side. We could ahve flipped the clamps, too, I guess, but had already tightened them. Not necessary, but why not?

Also, the exhaust tips centered themselves perfectly. I expected to have to do some tweaking of the hangers or something to even them out, but didn't have to do any.

I was planning on doing a BEFORE/ AFTER video, but when I went out this morning to do the BEFORE, I realized my wife had our Flip camera with her. So, I'll piece together some after videos in the next couple days. It really does sound great. There is no drone whatsoever and at low rmps, cruising, you can hardly tell the difference from stock from inside the car. The sound really comes alive with the throttle, though.
