Oh...I knew they were having rear end problems. I didn't know who's car though.
Your car is wicked fast, and that single digit is not far away
I am converting to the 9" as well, although I wont be seeing any single digit runs. I just want reliability

GM has a robust track validation program for their cars. The program is constantly improving as is the GM product. The one thing that the GM testing does not cover is after market tires. The stickier the tires, the better prepared the track the shorter the fuse on your driveline.

The cheapest and most overlooked drag strip modification is rear wheel alignment. The less negative camber you have at rest, the better your rear tires will bite as your 5th Gen squat-ts.
Since I am coming in for an alignment/cradle bushing/dif mount install on Friday what would you recommend on my car as a daily driver?

I probably lean a little bit more toward strip performance than auto-x as I doubt I will ever road course the car...but I will surely go to the strip a few times and be adding more hp in the future. I do appreciate a good handling car though.

I think I may want the rear set up just a little bit towards a good hook if it wont effect the handling and wear of the tires too much...what are your thoughts on this?

Should have a pretty decent hooking car with my suspension mods and a little magic touch on the rear camber...especially when I add a more aggressive wheel and tire combo for the track in the future.

Front

Camber -- We will probably go with -1 degree for a reasonable split between handling and tire life

Toe will be at 0. Toe out helps with turn in and on center steering wheel feel. I like mine out a full half degree. Turn in is yesterday, but tire wear is high. 0 toe is a fair split for tire life and handling.

Castor is fixed from the factory.

Rear

Camber -- We will try to get it to be half of the front camber. The less negative camber we use the less your 5th Gen will understeer. The less negative camber we use the better your 5th Gen will bite on a hard launch.

Toe will be minimal at .02 on both sides for a 0 thrust angle.
