Fine, but there isn't a federal court in this country that's gonna conduct business in anything but English.

Using multi-languages in official cappasities will divide this country even more. I got NO problem with immigration. AT ALL. We all came from somewhere. (Legaly I hope) But I believe in English as the official language. Multi-linguism is fine, but we must maintain unity at our official levels. And this country was founded in a language, ideal, and border. It should never change from that.

Can you obtain a Klan robe or dress up as a White Supremist/Hitler? Or perhaps a "Timothy McVeigh for President" shirt is in order?

Tough break.

I agree. But there are plenty of people with SSI#'s and Fed and State benefits that don't speak a lick of English. Some of these people are eligible to vote, so they must be citizens and therefore eligible for jury duty. I'm just saying what is a question like that doing on a form for duty. The form is in English but I'm sure they are printed in other languages also if they are needed. If I were one these people, would I be excused because I don't speak English? Maybe I need to get Rosetta Stone and become fluent in German so I can be excused from this process.

I believe that English should be used not only in official capacities, but for daily private transactions too. But the forefathers purposely left out an official language in the U.S. Constitution. There is no officially recognized language in the U.S.of A..

AAAAAaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!

RIGHT. I gotcha.... I see your point now. Why do they get to stay away from jury duty just becasue they 'Can't' speak English......

Damn. I never thought about that. That's BS.

Again, I say you should HAVE to speak it at some level to gain citizenship. And if you can't, there should be some penalty if you can't live up to your obligations as a citizen. Seems like they are giving them a pass.

Dude. Check the NO box.

I would but I only speak English and after signing, I would have perjured myself (and we all know how painful that can be). Yes, I only speak English, Southern English but....hey...wait...can my Southern drawl get me outta this???

Screw it, just check all the boxes and see what happens.

If I recall correctly, my mom got out of it simply by saying she didn't understand anything that was going on and acting completely confused.

She was selected again recently but I don't know if she ever ended up having to go or not. She said she was going to use the "They all deserve to die" method.

When the defense lawyer questions you for fitness for duty state "aren't all individuals guilty until proven innocent " you will be gone in a second.Guaranteed

#1 rule, don't go and get any register mail you are not pre aware of that its coming.

ITS NEVER GOOD NEWS, just a tacit to get proof you read whatever.

And if its really important, they will try different routes.
