Been there dude. It sucks. Same situation with me... Let's try the launch control BOOM! Mine were 4.10s though, not the stock gear.

I said it before and I will say it again... Launch control SUCKS!

For those of you telling him to go with the 4.10/4.11... They break WAY more often than the stock gears. This is the first stock gear I have heard of breaking over many 4.10s. I personally know 2 other people besides my self that had them blow plus many others I heard of on here.

Richmond flat out says it's a "street" gear not made for the track. Just some FYI.

Ya, it's radical alright! LOL! Having your 6 month old 2010 camaro blow it's reared and having people yell "should have got a G8" as your getting pulled off the track! That's totally rad!

Then why do they have launch control, so you leave the grocery store parking lot?

Let's hope the dealer doesn't read the thread when the warranty claim is made.

That sucks! But, I wouldn't think telling them you were at the track would void the warranty, in fact straight from the owners manual "Competitive Driving Mode is designed and recommended for use only during closed track events and at competitive driving venues". It basically tells you to only use it at a track. Let us know how it turns out.

Was it the rear end for sure? Could be an output shaft or even driveshaft bolts. Let un know.

Thats a matter of opinion... My build may have 300 miles on it when it gets thrown to the dyno monster... and it will have just 1500 the first time I take her down the track, in Chandler...

Bro,

The real "Racers" understand this stuff happens, and it's more a case of them thanking the Lord above it wasn't them that night... rather than snickering at you.. I've never seen that unless there was something else behind the scenes...

Good Luck with the repairs,

I’m sure they will cover it. As long as you didn’t modify the drivetrain or engine software you should be fine. They know these cars are going to be driven hard, that’s why the mode is in the car. Sorry to hear about the bad luck, but I’m sure it will turn out ok.
