2. Neither of the car doors like to close without a bit of a slam. This could be a pressure thing, but with a 'vert, I'd tend to doubt it.

I noticed the same thing on mine. My coupe the door would close very easy but I notice on my vert the door seems alittle heavier it might jsut be me

The way I understood it is the cover in the trunk has to be pulled towards you and latched in order to put down the roof. If it is unlatched and retracted and you close the trunk, the only way in is that keylock in the seat. If I'm wrong, please correct me, it could be I misunderstood.

I cant figure out how to copy the attachment to this thread but the instructions to install the tonneau bolts are in Drago's thread "tonneau cover nearly took flight" and its on post #67 after the pictures. I definately cant imagine doing it by laying in the trunk. Sorry for my computer illiteracy.

No trunk floor laying necessary. You pop off the plastic corner/side covers that are at the back rear seat corners...then you have access to where the back side of the tonneau bolts go.

Window indexing issue when opening door with top up. The window indexes down as it's supposed to but hits the top if you don't pause about a half a second after pulling the door handle.

Definite Trend item is that tonneau bolt issue. I don't think the word is out to the dealers that they are supposed to install them.

The other major glitch is the stinking weather. Rained the day I picked it up, and it's raining now, with snow imminent and supposed to snow tomorrow. I'm off work for the next three days, and was hoping to get a few miles in..... with the top down.

Off topic but I would like to get a car cover for my vert but it looks to me like the only ones available are for the coupe with the little sewn on thingy on the roof for the shark fin instead of the trunk shark fin.

The biggest glitch is the weather. From 77 when i picked the car up to the low 30's this morning and snow. She is sleeping in the garage!

I have noticed the same thing. It is almost as if the door has a bit of a sag.

I've tried the trunk key lock in every conceivable configuration (top up/down, shade drawn/retracted). The key works everytime for me, though it is a bit tight. It turns clockwise only about an 1/8th of a turn. I'm guessing its a failsafe, since the vert doesn't have fold down rear seats. Though you can still reach into the trunk through the curtain behind the seat when the top is up.

I noticed sitting at idle (500rpm), I would feel the car lope...at first I thought it was about to stall, but it never has and maybe it is a slight cam lope...that I can live with. I love the way my 68 sits there and rocks and rolls at idle because of the cam in it.
I noticed this also! It has a little lope to it. I kind of like it.

I finally got mine to work. I called the 1-800 home link phone number and their instructions were a little better. I was so excited that iI tried to get the Escalade home link to work, no dice.

I tried that 800 number too, no joy. Sorry your Escalade didn't work. This isn't rocket science, I've followed the instructions to a 'T' over a dozen times with no success.

I'm really pleased with this thread, I was worried that I'd start a flame war, but it turns out that us sharing this information will, I think help us all iron out the bugs. I'm pretty convinced the doors need adjustment at the very least as well as the well-established tonneau cover issues.

Keep up the good input all, no lemons!!!
