If they're original 69 seats you can always sell them for a nice tidy profit and have your seats re-done or find aftermarket seats that fit. It's best to use a seat with the same mount dimensions because the nuts are a part of the floorboard.

dude its not my car, and if there was anything left i wudv taken it, cuz i lov the 69s. there isnt an engine bay, no axels, no steering wheel, no windows, no trans, no pedals, no handle on the passenger side door, no back seat, holes all over the place. there isnt any hope for it. the only thing left on it tht was in good condition were the front seats. thts y im takin them.

ps- and i dont think hes gonna crush it, i think he wants to fix up the frame an put it on the wall of his garage. it wud fit, thts for sure. his garage is huge.

Fron and rear 4th gen F-body seats will bolt right up in a thirdgen without doing any modifications. And they would be waaaay more comfortable than the 69 seats.

dont ever say that about a camaro. there is always hope. its just that some cars need more hope than others.

and by hope I mean money, time, and work

Get the seats and tracks. pull your seats and tracks out, see if the tracks will align with the mounting points for your stock seats, if they do line up, then you are good to go.

and ive seen a lot of conversions going the opposite way ie: 3rd and 4th gen seats going directly into a 1st gen. however, the 4th gens (and I would imagine 3rd gens as well) have a raised rear in the floor.

I know the front mounting holes will line up fine, and the rear ones should. however with the raised rear (that you might not even have, but probably do), the rear mounting holes should line up as well, only the seat will have a slight incline forward.

yes, i kno, but i hav no money or time. id love to put the work in and restore it, and i think tht mite be wat hes eventually going to do it. but its going to be a couple(a couple here meaning many) years before he will need the seats, which is y hes giving them to me.
