I picked option 3 as well. After about a year I gave up worrying about the rock chips. It comes with the car. When it gets bad, I'll have it resprayed.

It's my main film I install. It's a great film if you get the Ultra film. It can stain (if the bugs aren't cleaned off soon) but it's easy to get the stain out. Dab, without rubbing, isopropyl alcohol on the film. It will lift the bug juices out after 15 minutes or so. Then wipe off with a detailer. If you use a good sealant on the film you won't have to worry about staining.

Good info... Thx! I'll have to stick with option #3 for now with a Dr. Color Chip supplement to ease my woes.

I wouldn't mind seeing a clear bra on a car for what it looks like. Regarding bug stains, does that mean I have to wipe down the front of my car everytime I drive it? The idea sounds cool just not completedly sold on it.

Ok on to how to repair the chips...

So I've seen a couple references to Dr. Color Chip. I went on their webstite, Dr. Color Chip looked ok. Is there any other products for paint chip repair that are recommended or better than another?

There are PLENTY of threads on this forum displying film on cars. A quick search will show you what you want to see. As far as bugs go, it is a very good habit to get into to wipe down bugs after road trips anyways. If left on for too long it will stain/etch the film... and will do the same to the paint. If your going to have a nice car take a little time to take care of it. It only takes a few minutes to wipe it down.

By the way, you will be touching up chips almost daily if you go that route. Camaros have pretty poor paint on them and they will chip quickly. You would be better off getting a clear bra installed and then you never have to woryy about it again.

I just let people smack into mine and have them replace it every couple of years.

You have to admit it came out looking good.
