I considered the alternatives...

1. Switching to a 1SS...No that is going to cost me $8K more to do that.
2. Canceling my order and waiting until I can get one with a rebate...No because we don't know if or when there will be a rebate of if the dealers will start charging megabucks on a AMV.
3. Buying something else...No, There isn't anything out there right now that interests me...

So I'll just wait then... give me time to save up some money (No car payment or insurance to pay for) for a Dovetail spoiler and some good looking Wheels....

yeah, i did the numbers today for a 2ss, and i just dont see how i could possibly afford it.
and i can't give up the stuff i really want like the RS package, the polished wheels, and i love my bells and whistles. so it has to be 2SS or 2LT... :(

2LT $27,552
2SS $33,470
(pricing with GMS)

But isn't the constraint report that was just released for the first week of production, or was it for current (pre)production? Have they not yet released a constraint report for the first week of production? I'm so confused.

^^^Hey, if you're #1 priority you could very well have your car by mid to late June. Hang in there, don't bail yet.

It's just the whole point. Its ridiculous. just build the freakin cars already. stop lolligagging around, and give us some flipping answers. like now we know the v6's are on constraint so just give us a time frame to expect them. tell us when they will start being built, when the dealers will get them. They KNOW. just like they knew all along they would be on constraint, and they know how many they will build a day and they KNOW how long it will take them to get to dealers. Its starting to not even be worth the headache anymore. I should have just kept my grand prix. I have been driving a big ugly truck for 6 months now, and i dont think i can take it for another 3. I don't think its worth it anymore.

This just irritates me even more,.I need my car by beginning May. They knew about this sooner, i just want a freaking timeline or i just might have to go buy a Chally, atleast ill get it in May with no bullshit. Honestly, the one month should have settle all this garbage. Why dont they just start building those showroom models now. Why should sold orders wait even longer, its because they know they can make us wait, and i personally dont think thats fair to their customers.

Not enough info out there to speculate on order dates for first round of V6's imo. GM knows many people NEED their cars (I must have mine by June 20th or it is time to pick something else) and I guess I will have to trust them to take care of their customers. They have done good in the past, but we will see...
