What kind of numbers are you getting on the revised intake in a stock SS m6

One factor to keep in mind is whether the cai has a DRY vs. OILED filter.

I have the Roto Fab with DRY filter and it is awesome. You just use a shop vac on it every now and again, and you can wash it with laundry soap and a hose if it gets stuck on dirt. I put 10k miles and just washed mine for the first time this week. After a few hours of drying, it was just like new. Personally, I think this is much more convenient than an OILED filter.

But I recommend CAI and Vararam (they seem to post the best CONSISTENT numbers from independent testing I have seen with Jannetty). I do like roto fab and K&N.

However, I really prefer the enclosure offered with the CAI and the ceramic tubing.

Best places to purchase are APEX-speed and Marylandspeed.com

I believe both offer free shipping right now so you are looking at 399.99 at your front door.
Ouch, Acutally we are .99 cheaper LOL with Free shipping and Camaro5 coupon.

Our filter is oiled and can therefore be used for life if you choose recharge it. We offer a "recharge kit" which consists of a cleaning solution and oil that you would apply every 10k miles or so depending on the filter condition and the conditions you drive in. If you do not want to recharge the filter you can just buy a replacement filter from us as needed.

Also, we actually design and engineer our own filters so they are built specifically for your vehicle and intake system to maximize performance gains. Check out this video which talks about our filter design.

I have had both a CAI intake and a Roto-fab (which I have now).

If you ever plan to put a blower on your car, then I'd suggest the Roto-fab. I got significant hp gains when I changed to the Roto-fab.

CAI makes a very nice unit, but at the time I got my supercharger, the tube from the CAI intake didn't fit well with my SC, so I got a Roto-fab.

Jannetty did several tests with various intakes. You should search for those threads (there is more than one) and see what you think. Almost everyone here will tell you to get the one they have. After all, most of us do some research when selecting mods for our car.

As for where to buy, I get almost all my stuff from IPS Motorsports. They are close to me and they will price match any other vendor. Also, they never try to sell me something I don't need.

I know it's probably to late for you at this point, but we are actually re-designing the tube for the S/C application and should have it available fairly soon. Sorry that it caused you to have to switch.

Bill:
Thanks for letting me know. I'll pass that info on to others. Now that you make them in black with the SC tube, I may switch back. I really like the clean look of the CAI too.
