If the motor is going to go bang, it typically does right away.

I got a new Var when I was sixteen and transmission grenaded at around 700 miles.

Ouch! Best of luck with it all... hope it's not anything too serious! :/ but hey, at least the Aveo is an Aveo- it keeps you warm and dry, just be happy you're not rocking a Vespa! Keep us posted with the final diagnosis!

Sucks about your car. And the Aveo. IMO, if your car has to go in for warranty work, GM should be have to put you in a vehicle of equal or greater value. Not some tiny, fruity compact.

I would take that aveo right back and tell them to give you something else!!! when my car was in for a window motor that took 3 days I had a HHR cause they didnt have anything else.. then I got a impala cause the hhr wouldnt get out of its own way.. I was sooo happy to get my camaro back!! good luck with yours... that doesnt sound good at all.

You shouldn't be in cruise control during the break-in period of your car... I believe it even says it in the manual.

So Sorry to hear about your Camaro & rental. But My daughter put over 210,000 mi on an Aveo. It survived front to back damage in a hailstorm, hitting a deer & then protected her life giving it's own in a really bad accident in heavy rain. Could be worse; at least it is a Chevy! Hope you get your Camaro back really soon better than ever.
