Ok here's my question do you own your coupe right now flat out meaning not financed and no note on it? If you do have a loan then how much left do you owe? Reason I ask is because say you owe 25,000 or so and they give you 33K well that's 8k left over after you have to pay off the balance of the loan on the coupe. So then you got 8k to put down on a 47k car and I'm assuming thats before taxes, and assuming you put money down on the coupe you really aren't getting a true 8k. So then my question is do you want to start over on payments and years and have a higher note?

If you don't then I say keep your car you have. But if you own the car outright then forget everything I just wrote.

Just thought I'd asked since no one ever seems to take that into account when replying to threads like these.

Also do remember that if you do have a note and pay the first loan off that the payoff amount will actually be higher since the banks calculate interest into the payoff amount.

Most loans are monthly pay simple interst loans and the payoff should include very little interest if the loan is current.

OK no new information I don't know and that had nothing to do with my question to the op.

so my question still remains.

Thanks guys...I do have a simple interest loan but the balance is low and current...I appreciate the insight ssump29 that does add to the math and the value of my trade in and the cost of the new vert out the door....

I traded a V8 black 426 for a V6 white vert! I call it my night & day change! I love the vert I have no regrets at all. The vert has a little different ride because it is heavier makes it smoother that my opinion! You should trade up

I've got to tell you that I have traded my 2010 2SS/RS in for a vert!! I really hated to see her go, but really pumped about getting a new ride.

My TPW is 4/25/11 - Waiting is the hardest part!

What are you guys paying for the convertibles. Over here they are asking
$47K!!!!

what to do what to do?????
Hi Here's my two cents worth!
I decided to get the vert. I march into my dealer December 7th 2010. A deal was struck, 34500$ (Canadian EH!) for my SIM 2SS/RS Stick CGM Stripes and Sunroof 10000Km (6K miles). I ordered a CGM/IO Black top Stick no stripes 2011 VERT and I got her for 50500$ Canadian. I know alot more than you guys pay in the States.
My ass belongs in a convertible so does yours. If ya can swing the $$$$$ without depending and eating Ketchup soup, do it and you'll be fine!!
That's my two penny opera!
ENJOY!
