Slotted & Drilled Rotors

Guys, Anyone know where we can get slotted and drilled rotors for the 2010 Camaro? I called Brembo and they pushed me off to another company that said they wouldn't have anything for at least 1 year. Looking for a good quality rotor with a good finish that will jump out thur the 20" wheels at you without breaking the bank.

you reallize that slotted and drilled rotors are not purely for show and will not last as long because they will crack correct?

if you do, i would check wilwood, Baer, AP racing, Endless Brakes, or Alcon.

Brembo as i recall has the disks listed they just may not have a brake upgrade.

and it's worth mentioning that drilled/slotted rotors eat the brake pads down much faster than regular rotors

they CAN crack. not every one will. especially cast-in-place drilled ones

What about the Carbon Ceramic brake rotor options?

I am more interested in the composition (carbon) of the rotors than the size...

I know for the 4th Gen's people used to buy the Porsche 996 Calipers, a new caliper bracket and buy some carbon discs from a supplier I cant remember.

As the carbon discs get hotter, they work better and on top of that they will last ten of thousands of miles!

Thats funny, my GMPP Cobalt drilled and Slotted lasted twice as long as the stock ones with the same oem pads... Not all rotors are made equal...

I meant instead of going with the ZR1 setup, with the huge 15.5 inch rotors, that a smaller option might be available, even though I don't quite know the price of a set of ZR1 brakes, I seem to remember a Porsche Caliper/Custom Carbon Ceramic rotor setup was around $2500-3500...

Check with AP Racing for different size CCM brakes, you can run Steel disks with there set up untill you decide to buy the ccm rotors and then just swap the pads and bam.....CCMs on camaro

maybe that price per corner. when discussing the specs on the zr1, i remember seeing somewhere that the only other car that offered carbon ceramics that big from the factory had them as a $20000 option

according to my dealer its only around 8k for all 4 corners for just disks and calipers, after that you may need a hat and pads. no were near $20k

the problem is that those other cars are premium priced and they rip you off on options
