I took mine out (and broke a tab, too
), along with the DRL bezels, and had them painted to match the car. I also removed the tail lights and all side markers, and had them smoked. All this cost me $200. I think it was money well spent, although I probably could / should have done them myself. Sorry not the best pic. Phone pic...

They were very easy to pull out. I rattle caned mine for about $4.
