Well, we took it in. Service Manager Voided powertrain Warranty for after market accesserys. Said CAI was illegal and the catch can should not be on the car. Charged $78 to say the valve cover needs replaced then wanted $534 for the cover and to replace! So he took it to his buddy and he called the guy's General Manager and he said the guy had no right to void his warranty and the General manger agreed. My Dads buddy has a shop and told the guy he knew the law. Not sure if the general Manger is going to take care of him or not.

The CAI and catch can have nothing to do with the defective valve cover they installed on your car from the factory. There is even a bulletin for it.

Push it, sue them, raise hell, whatever it takes. These pieces of shit assholes that keep voiding warranties when the actual problem is a factory defect, are true ****ing scumbags.

Read the warranty book to them, the section on - What is not covered. It clearly states damage caused by - alterations/modifications. If your problem was not caused by the modification - it's covered.

yes that is what his buddy told the GM. I printed out the TSB and they checked the car to it. Said b/c the intake and catch can, voided! I looked up the cover at New Gm Parts, and the cover is only $96.58, says original is, $137.76. So they either wanted way more for the cover or was goign to charge over $300 to put it on! He is going to see his buddy today to take him the TSB that he wants. He told the GM that he was goign to the news paper and tell them what was going on, He got all fired up. He said the service manger tried to screw someone else over he knew before as well.
