hmm they would look even better color matched but it doesn't look THAT bad from the grey and yellow from SEMA or even the original red and black one....

I can see why not painting them would save time and money but I think this is going to discourage a lot of people from ordering them on the car. Why would one want to have two different colors on the car that's not set-up to be a two-tone car? It would look more awkward on a lighter colored car. Depending on factors I'm not getting into, this will have to be a decision I won't know how to make right until I order the car. If it did come matched, there wouldn't really be a question.

My VR SS/RS is being delivered this week. I'm still not sure if the ground effects should be painted VR or flat black like the stripes.(hockey strip package). Any suggestions? Also didn't someone post a comment that the muffler should be painted black so it doesn't show in the square rear opening?

Would've gotten them, but I think the back side with the square holes + round exhaust tips poking out looks hideous. Too much of a ricer look for my taste!

They did no such thing. The option is way more popular than they had anticipated and it probably makes them more money (gross profit) than any other option on the car.
