Thanks to RPO Z28 for posting.
What are the TPW for the initial allocations provided a few weeks ago?
I was told something was happening with my order on 3/12, possibly a "pull"??
Shouldn't my TPW be in March if part of the initial allotment??

Or did you already know you got a car the first week in February but you were just able to fill your given allocation last week?

I'm just wondering if I should have my dealer check each week to see if they get an allocation. Or if the allocation number is only given at the beginnig of the month but GM restricts when you can use it. Hope I was able to word this so you can tell what I'm tring to ask
We got our final allocation report mid Feb. (can't run the report now from home to verify) That let us know which week we would get this order. So last Friday we do the Pass One (other thread) and can modify the order tomorrow AM.

When I get in tomorrow I'll update to clarify.

In case anyone didn't see the Pass One from last week, see the pic below and notice the TPW at the top right. So, that means the order this thread is referring to SHOULD be built the week of 3/23 as per this report.

If your dealer got final allocation for 2 Camaros last week, then both of your orders should go in tomorrow to the Placed Tab.

Which week was this order allocated for from the dates you received in mid Feb?

If my dealer was given a date of 3/12, is that their Pass One Thursday date?

Was the above order Pass One date 2/26? And if 2/26, was that the date you were given mid Feb??

If all is true, then can I assume my TPW to be 4/6 - 4/10??

Sounds like some sort of complicated math problem to me... If a train leaves Boston at 4 pm traveling east and another train leaves the Oshawa plant on 3/12... ***BRAIN EXPLOSION***

What I do not understand is the rumor that the initial allocation (March), which is what I was part of, is getting built in April. I think there is some confusion there and maybe the consensus priod is from the 15th to the 15th of each month?????

I'm just glad to know my car is getting built in a few weeks.

Another guestimate if you don't mind - - what is the ballpark timeframe that a car shows up to the dealer once built?? One week, two??

Each month there is 1 final allocation report? Is it always mid month or does it vary by dealer?

Sorry for all the questions but my dealer was only initially allocated 1 car through Q3. I'm just trying to find out how many times per month my dealer might find out they get their 1 allocation.

You're right; it's pretty close to a brain explosion but RPO Z28 has helped relieve the migraine.

My dealer has been great but I haven't been able to get this level of detail from them. I just got "we got an allocation", "you're our 1st", and "your order is getting pulled on 3/12".

At least now I feel I know more of what that really means.
I was hoping for early April but it looks more like mid-late April.

The whole March allocation thing got me excited earlier....

Since they come from Canada, it's a tuff question to answer. When the last generation of Camaro's were built, it was about two weeks from build to dealer. All I can say is you are going to see a ton of threads asking where the cars are after they are built.

BTW, the process is not complicated for me because I do this every week. If you were sitting next to me, you would see how easy it really is. The biggest problem I see here is that everyone is relying on salespeople for info when they really are not part of the ordering process. Their managers are the one's who do it.

This is why I started this thread. I think it will be easier to understand if you follow it from the start.

The final allocation report has info for the next 4 weeks.

I think you're spot on and I for one truly appreciate your posts.
It does seem extremely simple and I feel that I fully understand now.
This is the first time someone has actually explained it in this level of detail.

THANKS AGAIN!!!
