I read a post that mentions FEBRUARY.....so I wonder, how old is this? Is this a dealership's memo? Do I need to did way back into the gm memo archive to try and understand? I guess I'm not getting the point of this post.....that or I had one hell of a long week!

My dealer told me that any price increase will show up on their invoice BUT since our car was preordered before the price increase we are supposed to still get it at the origonal price, the dealer will automatically get credited with the difference in price from GM so the dealership loses nothing......
The so called price increase took place sometime in Feb. but that was just on the automatic transmissions on the SS models. The V6 Transmission is still the same priice last time I checked.

OK, I'm reading this, inserting my own paragraphs...

1. Order placed last week now at 2500: Conclusion - dealership had allocation and consensus, but did not have an order (yes, some don't even know they CAN order yet!)

2. Summary.....OK, this is true of any regular order, that your pricing is that at the time the order is in the system - SO, if you place a order say, on MONDAY......and on Thursday a price increase goes in effect, you get the price at the time of your order....nothing new, it's how it always has been.

What was confusing was all this info in one paragraph.

Hey people I feel really bad for those still at status 1100. But I'm just trying to understand why I got 2000 out of the gate? and why some are still at 1100?

yes - the allocation was designed and is being followed. The only way this would happen is, is if a dealer did not place any orders....So if a dealership was to have 10 as their estimated guide number....all of a sudden they have consensus to have an order built....Joe Ford Hater walks in and places an order, and it gets pulled to that spot...Have you been skipped? no. The dealership can enter an order for that spot for his lot now, or for a customer. If they didn't want to order (or even more scarier, didn't know they COULD sell sold pre-orders)until now, it really didn't make a difference to the "master allocation plan". But, Keep this in mind...while some dealers sold there allocation, and some sold over, there are surely some that may not have sold ANY, or have sold LESS than they could have...Don't feel cheated, as I said before, its not the date of your order, but your position at the dealership you ordered from.

maninbrown - where did you order from in SD? I was going to order from Billion in Sioux Falls but they wanted $5k to $10k over msrp on the 5 they had allocated back in October. I was going to order with CamaroScotty as he is the best dealer on this forum but I went with Karl Chev in Ankeney IA as they were a little closer to Sioux Falls. Welcome to the club and I hope you get your car sooner than later.

Karl Chevy was the one who "let go" their internet guy for posting info here (that was considered GM Confidential)

Thats right Scotty - the person I ordered from was actually the person that took his job after he was let go. The person I originally ordered from there used to work for our company and quit and just started at the dealership. I don't think he liked it too much becuase he then quit and came back to work for us and I got another "internet specialist" there. The new person (Cyrus) has been very helpful and patient everytime I call and helped me get everything in writing. I only wish that we had more dealers like you that were closer to the rest of us. I think you should clone yourself and invade dealerships all over the country!!

Scotty...

Just nod one time for yes...two times for no.

I'm #6 at my dealership. (He got one in the first, gets 3 in the next...and two on his third...(AKA, ME). (The first one has a VIN)

Now, the question. Will I have my Camaro before July?
