Very nice cut-off line. Love the Morimoto's. They are crisper than OEM RS projectors IMO.

You will loose a little light by using the 8k bulbs but it's all personal preference. The good news is you can switch the bulbs easily if you ever want down the road and they aren't that expensive.

Your setup is the perfect example of how I've been trying to explain people to do them. It's a little more work than Eagle Eyes but I bet you have about the same money as a set of those yet look at the quality of projector and ballasts you get with the retrofit.

Just out of curiosity, did you use the Mini H1 projector? and which shrouds did you go with?

Did you do anything with the DRL?

When I had just the HID bulb I hated the look of it during the day. The lights were so bright and large because of the way they reflected off of the housing that it just took away from the car.

Once I went to the Morimoto projector it really wasn't nearly as bad. I already had a DRL plug in the works so I ended up getting rid of my DRL completely with a harness and ultimately for my setup it's the best option. With Halos I would probably want those on all the time.

I did the mini D2S with the Apollo Shrouds. As for the running lights I agree I always hated having the headlights be the DRLs so before all this I always turned those off and turned on my fogs. Now that I have the halos I just turn the knob to parking lights every time I get in the car so that the halos are on.

Looks good Jonathan! I like how the halos and the retrofit came out and the Plasma bulbs look good in the DRLs as well!

Looks good! I might do the retrofit also, it looks like the most cost effective way to do HID if you are handy

If you ever get tired of doing that, let me know and I'll point you to someone that can probably make a harness to do all that for you automatically. My guess would be around $150 or so but I'm sure they can get it so that your Halos are turned on during the daytime and then at night have the projectors and the fog lights come on together. It would be a plug-n-play harness as well. Thats what I did...except no halo option.

Your setup up turned out really good. Thanks for posting!

You don't even need to be THAT handy. I've never worked on a car more than changing the breaks and oil. I just read through everything several times and it really wasn't that hard. Plus in doing it yourself you can make sure you get the best quality products.

Is it worth it to do the retrofit or just get these?

Those don't look to be HID lights at all. Just a Halogen light with AAC halos added. Two different things.

Contact AAC. They are now doing HID projector retrofits and they can add halos to them. You can save a little money by taking your lights out and sending them to AAC or you could get the lights and then try to sell your Halogens afterwards.

Yup those are just stock lights with the halos from AAC. AAC can supply you with the HIDs too though. Just contact them.

I had AAC install the HIDs and Halos on my Daughter's car.... along with several other items.
