Gotta love the Brembos!!! Those, combined with awareness of your surroundings, saved that kid (and helped me avoid a deer a couple of weekends ago)! YAY!!!!

Glad you were able to stop in time, and I also attribute it to the fact that you imagined the kid running into the street before it happened, so you were alert. Glad it was you and not someone texting on their phone!

When I test drove the Camaro, they only had an SS for me to test. I pulled out on to the busy main road and a little ways down the street, there was a man riding a bicycle. He misjudged the curb and lost control of the bike and fell right in front of me as I was approaching him. Thank goodness for those brakes, because I came within inches of hitting him. The salesman was in the back seat and thanked me for saving the man's life. It was quite a scary experience!!

Hahaha!! Yes. I guess if he wanted to come with us, he didn't have a choice. I drove and my hubby sat in the passenger seat (he's 6'1 and can't fit back there). The guy wasn't very big, though. LOL

That's one of the reasons I bought the SS- the Brembo brakes. My last car, a 2004 GTO, had the sorriest brakes I've ever had on any car. I worried all the time about being able to stop quickly if I had to. The SS Brembos are the BEST brakes I've ever had.
