From what I know, the ls3 does it because of the cam, but the l99 has a smoother cam and doesn't, which accounts for the lower hp. My SS ls3 shakes at idle, cold warm, all the time and runs great!

Mine does too. Hopefully it's because the factory cam is fairly aggressive?

Mine does it. I have ~900 miles on my LS3. It feels like the cam lope to me just as others have posted

Mine does the same thing too.....pretty sure it's from the high lift cam in the LS3. Just turned 800 miles today.

My L99 sometimes has a little bit of a wobble when I start it. It doesn't happen all of the time.

Just turned 23 miles. Mine shakes a little bit, like it misses a little. I think it's just the nature of the beast. And I do mean beast!!

They idle @ 550 rpms stock. It's going to shake/lope a bit.

Normal for a V8 producing over 400 HP. It was more noticable after installing headers at 1500 miles and very noticable when I cammed it, (617/620) lift. Closing in on 30K miles now and lovin the shake.
Oh, step on accelerator and it smooths out. Thats the fun part.

Mine has a shake every 10-15 seconds at idle. I actually enjoy it. It's a hint of the power that's waiting to be unleashed. =)

I just bought a 2011 2 SSRS with gears. I love the quietness. A little shake is GREAT compared to what I've had since 1984! My 1969 SS 427 will rattle your teeth out with it L88 specs. TRUST ME, a LS3 is a pleasure comared to L88. Listen and enjoy
