KC Auto Show - Options Comparison (Pic heavy!)
Hi All-
![]() Went to the KC Auto show this weekend. Spent a LOT of time looking over the 2 Camaros. This was the first time I had seen them in person - ordered mine site-unseen! But boy. I wasn't disappointed! It's a fabulous looking car in person and all the pictures I've seen just do not do it justice. Also got to sit in each one several times to try out the "fit". I was a little scared that it would be a little tight (since I'm a little bigger than average!!), but it fit great and I didn't feel cramped at all. God it was great!! ![]() The good thing was between the 2 they had almost all the different options - 2LT and 1SS / V6 & V8 / Auto & Manual / Sunroof & Mohawk / 19 & 20 Inch wheels and so on (but no RS!!!!). So I took LOTS of detailed, close up photos. I have included a bunch of them below side-by-side for easy comparison. Wish I could post them all! I didn't realize when I was taking them but I had the camera in the large mode (2048x1536 mode...) so I had to resize them down in order to post them. If anyone wants to see a specific one full-sized, or see something I didn't post, just let me know. And now, here at the pictures.....ENJOY!!!! Here are some general pics of the 1SS: Here is the 2LT: Here is a comparison of the SS and regular dash - Note the different number styles (look at the 4's on the tachs) and the SS logo on the 2 smaller gauges: Here are some of the interior controls: Here is the antenna: ![]() Some of the interior trim: Here is the sunroof: Here are the exterior doorhandles - note only drivers side has keylock: Here are the V6 and V8 engines: Here is the SS grille emblem - seen a lot of posts asking how this attached. This was the best shot I could get of it (couldn't get to back) and it looks like it has tabs on both sides that go back to backside of grille: Here is the "Reverse Mohawk" roof: Here are the Manual and Auto shifters: Here is a picture of the trunk, and a look underneath from the rear (1SS): Here are some shots of the wheels. First one is 19 inch on 2LT, 2nd is 20 inch on 1SS WITH flash, and 3rd is 20 inch on 1SS WITHOUT flash: And here are two of the most interesting shots I think - pics of the VIN's from both of the cars. Most interesting to note is the serial numbers (last 6 digits) do not start with 1xxxxx, but rather 0xxxxx. This would seem to indicate pre-production cars. But they should ultimately be sellable (because they have a valid VIN). These may be valuable cars to keep an eye out for in the future!!! (From decoding these from some of the VIN decoders I found on the web, they do seem to be valid and make sense...): THAT'S IT!!! Hope you enjoyed them and let me know if you want to see more!!
