Situational awareness is a wonderful tool. Our cars are great, and get distracting at times, but a stranger starts walking towards you at a car wash.. probably with a hand in the pocket.. the self-defense instincts have to kick in quick. Hope everyone is nice/polite/respectful, but instinctually.. be ready for everyone.

Still, your in a crappy situation.. sorry to hear that, and good luck in your endeavors to return across the border. Oshawa isn't going anywhere.. it'll be there when your ready to return.. if you ever choose to again.

Damn really sorry to hear. What time of day did it happen? Great to hear you are OK!

It could have been so much worse. A Disney Chef had his life taken this past wk during a botched robbery attempt at a local 24hr CarWash. He had just gotten off work in the evening and wanted to clean his car. Sux.Haven't caught the perp(s) yet

thanks everyone for all your support... just got back from the police station.. it was not as drastic as an armed robbery.. it was a class act con job partly coupled with a little help from me letting my guard down. I feel like such a stupid ass right now. I will update this thread later with the story once I get back cos I have way too many things on my mind right now. hopefully the police report should be enough to get me across... Fingers crossed

You shouldnt man, its not like you were asking for it. When crap like this happens outta no where you really cant blame yourself. It could have happend to anyone. (unless you were in the ghetto w/ your camaro.. then ur asking for it.. jk)
