Drove mine all winter in Cleveland on a set of Yokohama Parada Spec-X All seasons. Overall, it wasn't too bad. I got stuck at work once, but that was because I backed over a snow bank and the snow was all the way up to the underbelly. Just be careful and you should be fine, but keep in mind the car is fairly close to the ground so deep snow might cause problems.

Instead of a 2LT, I would just consider a 1SS since the prices are probably pretty close. Depends if you like all the gadgets and leather, or more HP & TQ.

I have a 1LT and couldn't be happier with it. All in all, if your heart is set on the customized LS, then go for it! Personally, I wouldn't settle for an LS because of the different seat cloth and heritage rims. Plus, the power driver seat adjustments were a must for me. But if this customized LS is really nice, assuming you get it for a reasonable price, it sounds like it may be worth it!

If you have the scratch to customize an LS, I'd say go for it. However, the best bang for your buck in the Camaro is the 1LT RS with con/con. The 2LT RS's pricetag is slightly under a 1SS, you might as well get the V8.

the 1LT doesnt have leather or the aux guages.. those are a MUST for me (well, and leather seats) and i havent seen a 1LT with any of that.. just the 2LT.
the 1SS doesnt do leather, so then im in the 2SS world, and that just costs too much.
this LS.. is , well, a dealer installed 2LT basically, just not the RS package (emblem wise, cuz the spoiler is there)

Why else would it have heated seats and mirrors and built in Canada if it wasn't meant to be driven in the winter.

Even in the blizzard that completely shut down lake shore drive, I was able to get the Camaro out and moving here. Once I stopped it would get stuck, but I could turn off the traction control and get it going again.

18" Pirelli ICE/Snow, best ever.

I would imagine any car would drive crappy without the proper tires for winter driving. But think looonnngggg and hardddddddddddd 2LT or a used SS. Eithey way, you win. But if you don't wanna look back...

2 LT RS is a great car. We love ours. 2400 miles road trip to Oshawa, Montreal, and Niagara Falls and back home. Average 29 miles per gal. Get a extra of set wheels and tires for winter and enjoy. We have over 10000 miles on ours in 9 months.

Have ya test driven both? Test drive them at least once. But sounds like you are a comfort and convenience type of a car owner and if so, the 2LT will fit you just fine. You will be happy with it. It also has plenty of power and for most, it is hard to tell from its bigger brother. But just know that almost 1x per week, someone here is trading from V6 to V8. Don't be that unless you have thousands to flush down the toilet.

yeah. but you gotta understand that sometimes you cant always afford to go up to the v8. i have an 03 Silverado SS with the big V8 that im keeping for an off season (re winter) ride, so i could sacrifice the v8 in the camaro for the v6.. unless i found the right 2SS. i want the aux guages, leather seats, and the convenience pckg. and i want the RS packg as well, if i can find it.
this is about 3 grand more than i want to spend..

For a daily driver cannot go wrong with the V-6. There are a few on here that do not like us V-6ers.
