I wouldn't want to sell my OEM hood. but I agree it would be another feature to set it apart. I think the rallies will do that with the color I am doing.

montreal2010yellow ACS makes some nice hoods too.

I guess I am waiting for the one that just screams at me this one. The Revolution hood did when it first came out. But a lot has happened since and many others have come out that make me wonder...
Frustrating to not be able to decide. Maybe I will stay stock and put those tape attached pipes through the hood?

kidding.

what issue with diffuser? cowl hood looks good but how does it look and act when driving and staring at it?

Hoods are sooo expensive. Some look really cool but when you figure the hood, shipping, prep, paint, and install, you are climbing into some scary numbers.

Some of these hoods require extensive prep to be painted and then lots of work to fit properly, and often never do line up quite right.

The mounting system was made by a 4 year old, and the fit isn't what I'd call good. There were oblivious flaws in the layup and the trimming of the part. The customer service was horrible as well.

Thanks for all the additional input guys.

I know the MPD1 hoods have had a lot of good comments about them fitting very nicely and matching the OEM clearances. I'm really leaning to the cowl hood because I don't see many plus I have always like that look. I wonder what shipping runs. Probably as much or more as it cost to ship my body kits.

!!!

I might just get my OEM hood striped then... that's a lot, plus if you add the "dual tone" for stripes and labor for that, paint will run a few hundred more I'm sure... I should call and ask him how much to do stripes now...

Yeah after the reality check from Indpowr... I'm going to call the shop tomorrow and see if it's too late to have him just do the stripes now, and how much. It will be easier for him to do them now since they will extend onto the bumper cover and over the new spoiler...

It will probably run another $1,000 for rally stripes though.
