I AM the wife and we're "debating" over whose car it actually is. I picked the colors because he's not particular in that area (or very good at it). We both chose the V8, we selected the options together, but he made the final call on the ground effects and the polished wheels. Neither of us wanted a sunroof. I came up with a list of vanity plates and he prioritized them, but I get to name the car. He's hoping they come out with a super-charged engine as an option before our car gets built, but he's not holding his breath. We had to go automatic because my orthopedic surgeon would strangle me if I tried to drive a stick. I read the forums and keep him updated. I'll drive it home from the dealership, but then we'll take turns driving down the freeway.

Women are not about motors, cars, motorcycles or any other "man-type" issues. They are more about family and the attention shown to them. Anyone having a problem with their wife or girlfriend regarding this purchase should either leave her or pay more attention to her. Even if you don't mean it.

She's as much of a car person as I am....got me all kinds of "Bowtie" assesories for Christmas and even got me 4 of those fancy "wheel jacks" for our 57 BelAir so that we could have a little more flexibility in arranging the garage to accomodate the camaro.

She's encouraged me to get the manual tranny also....but I'm not letting her learn on this one!!

The gf gets quite annoyed of me looking at this website non stop, and talking about it non stop. She can't believe how obsessed i am even after how many months since i ordered.

Not me...

Although she is dealing much better with the car than she is with all the time I spend here.

Me too- but that's because I just spent four years with a yellow GTO that she hated from day one. Like I cared...

If you can pay for this car without making her sacrifice anything she would normally or otherwise have/get then you are/should be golden.

My wife has been pretty cool about it....I've been telling her that I was going to get the new Camaro ever since the Transformers movie. At the time she said Surrrrre you will!! I've been trying to save ever since then but it's been tough with kids in college and such. Soooooo anyway I don't want to bore you but she's been great!! I will admit that ever since I found Camaro5 and spend probably wayyyy to much time on here she tells me I need therapy So I thought what the heck and pre-ordered my plates Friday.....yup you guessed... it "therpe" gotta love it!!! I also got her into the options and color decisions to; Just as Cyberbro had stated. Then she asked me last night when is she gonna' get her Camaro......I may have created a monster but that can be a good thing!! If you know what I mean!!

That's an easy question with a complicated answer. Technically, he's paying for the car.....BUT.....we're considering it our 25th anniversary present to ourselves (a little early, anniversary isn't until January). I don't expect presents on birthdays, Christmas, anniversaries, etc....., so he doesn't have that pressure and I usually can get what I want when I want it. NO....I don't want extravagant purchases. Most of the things I want are under fifty dollars. Also, we have a handicapped daughter. She is 12 and has mixed quadraplegic cerebral palsy. She uses a wheelchair and has limited use of her hands and legs. I take care of her, including homeschooling her, while hubby goes to work. So, while I don't bring home a paycheck, I work plenty hard. Our daughter can't sit or stand unassisted, she cannot feed herself, etcetera, but is very smart.

My husband even started loading the diahwasher so I can spend more time on here! After I tiled and painted the new bathroom, I love feeling like part of a revolution! I can't find a good 68, I'm happier about a new car as is he! I think the hubby thinks it's a better deal than buying jewelry!
